Como já descrito neste blog pelo meu amigo Cesar Coelho, mês passado participei de uma das experiências mais bem sucedidas que tive a ambição de encarar. A LA School proporcionou um ambiente mágico e fundamental para a interação produtiva de pesquisadores e estudantes das áreas em questão. Palestras, Workshops, Journal Clubs e os famosos Collaborative Projects me fizeram perceber que interações tão mescladas são essenciais para o desenvolvimento de ideias e projetos inovadores, além de proporcionar um ambiente fantástico para o surgimento de grandes amizades.

Gostaria de falar rapidamente da minha experiência. Confesso que no início da escola, ou até mesmo quando eu estava lendo os trabalhos científicos enviados antes e também os perfis dos professores e estudantes no site, fiquei bastante assustada porque percebi que a minha experiência era bem diferente da maioria dos cientistas que participariam do evento. Durante o curso, meu medo se transformou em deslumbre e em garra. Percebi que, mesmo sendo de área um pouco distinta, minha experiência com a Neurociência pode sim contribuir para projetos de educação. Além disso, devo dizer que o ponto alto da minha transformação se deu durante os Collaborative Projects aonde eu percebi na prática que o grande problema a ser resolvido entre a Neurociência e as Ciências da Educação é a COMUNICAÇÃO. Plantando essa consciência na mente de todos, a Escola proporcionou uma transformação bem sucedida. Provavelmente outras áreas do conhecimento (Engenharias, Medicina etc) tenham o mesmo problema e deveriam se valer do exemplo desta escola para promover eventos sublimemente integradores. Juntos a gente constrói a ponte!

Estou à disposição para ajudar, mesmo que de longe, nas próximas Escolas e em qualquer projeto que surja!!!!

One more Neuroscientist changed by the 3ª LA School for Education, Cognitive and Neural Sciences!

As described in this blog by my friend Cesar Coelho, last month I participated in one of the most successful experiences I had the ambition to face. The LA School provided a magical and fundamental environment to create a productive interaction betweens researchers and students. Lectures, Workshops, Journal Clubs and the famous Collaborative Projects made me realize that this kind of interactions are essential for the development of innovative ideas and projects, and also provide a fantastic environment for the emergence of great friendships.

I would like to talk briefly about my experience. I confess that at the beginning of  the school, or even when I was reading the scientific papers sent before and also the profiles of professors and students on the website, I was very scared because I realized that my background was very different from most of the scientists who would participate in the event. During the course, my fear turned to fascination and claw. I realized that even though my area being different, my experience with Neuroscience can contribute to educational projects. Furthermore, I must say the highlight of my transformation took place during the Collaborative Projects where I noticed in practice that the major problem to be solved between Neuroscience and Educational sciences is COMMUNICATION. Planting this awareness on everyone’s mind, the School provided a successful transformation. Probably other areas of knowledge (Engineering, Medicine etc) have the same problem and should draw on the example of this school to promote sublimely integrators events. Together we can build the bridge!
