The Marie Curie Initial Training Network is an European program devoted to fund PhD students. Dr. Stéphane Oliet, Deputy Director of the Inserm U862 – Neurocentre Magendie, is the recipient of one of these programs, Edu-Glia (www.eduglia.eu), and is looking for a motivated Brazilian student that would like to perform his/her research in her group, in Bordeaux, France. The candidate will be very well paid and would not have to be registered in a French University for a PhD degree (he/she can be registered in Brazil and do his/her research in France).
The project itself deals with neuron-glia interactions, a field in which her group is well recognized (Oliet et al, Science 2001; Piet et al, PNAS 2004; Panatier et al, Cell 2006; Henneberger et al, Nature in press).
If you know some talented and motivated MSc students that would be interested, please make contact with SBNeC (firstname.lastname@example.org), so we will be able to direct them to the program website where they will be able to apply for this position, or to other positions available in different European labs that are part of this network.
